Under färden upp till 2 900 meter över havet – den högsta punkt som kan nås på ett säkert sätt – görs flera stopp för att beundra det karga, månliknande landskapet och de lavabevuxna sluttningarna på detta höga berg.Se till att du har bekväma vandringsskor och varma kläder – det blir kallt på hög höjd. Efter att ha beundrat utsikten nära toppen tar en erfaren alpin guide dig till en mindre utsatt plats på 2 500 meters höjd, där du kan se solnedgången från en bekvämare plats. På vägen tillbaka stannar vi vid en stugrestaurang för en typisk siciliansk middag.
