I’ve lived in Egypt before so the delays in moving off to the airfield were nothing new to me, but meant that some quite elderly people had to ‘run’ to make it to our designated balloon. The individual cells in the basket are small, but everyone got on. The pilot was obviously very experienced and took us over a five mile course which included views over most of the major sites on the West Bank from Seti I’s temple to Malqata in the south. Excellent landing. Enjoyable and not too expensive.

Perfect geregelde ballonvaart over de Westbank in Luxor. Stipte pick-up aan het hotel (de avond voordien een informatief bericht met de vraag om een copie van de paspoorten door te sturen per whatsapp), korte rit naar het winterpalace hotel, boottocht over de Nijl om vervolgens in een kleine wegen naar de startplaats te rijden. Voorzie wel voldoende warme kleren. Een onvergetelijke ballonvaart boven Luxor.
