Kick off with a visit to an olive grove, then a drive through the mountains to Kritsa, a typical Cretan village. Enjoy some free time to wander along the narrow, winding streets or relax in a local taverna. Take in the simultaneous views of both the Libyan and Cretan Seas.
Next, head to Prina where you will learn about Cretan traditions and hear local stories, while walking along the village's narrow streets. Then it's pm to Kalamafka, a hamlet of dinky chapels and vegetation-covered whitewashed homes nestled in mountains. Embark on the 248-step climb up to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, built on a hill overlooking the village. The view from atop is more than worth the climb.
