Undoubtedly one of the most exciting and fun ways to explore the coastline of São Miguel Island. With this Coasteering activity on the south coast of the island, you'll get in touch with the sea, while you can also combine it with swimming, climbing and jumping from cliffs. You can explore the crystal clear waters of the ocean and the incredible rock formations from volcanic origin.
This activity takes place in Caloura, a location known for its microclimate, fertile soil and wonderful coastal views, in the central-southern part of the island of São Miguel, which is approximately 20 minutes by car from the city of Ponta Delgada.
As soon as you arrive, you'll receive your equipment and have a safety briefing. Then you'll start the activity with a short walk along the coast through the irregular volcanic stones resulting from lava flows.
Challenge yourself on this adventure while exploring caves, jumping and diving into the ocean, enjoying natural pools and inland bays. You can expect several jumps between 1 and 8 meters (some optional).
