Join this walking tour of Ferrara and discover the city of Emilia's Renaissance and its architectural wonders, from the Cathedral of San Giorgio to the famous Palazzo dei Diamanti.

You'll walk the streets of Ferrara's lively and beautifully preserved centre (a UNESCO World Hertage Site) with your tour guide and learn the story of the Este family. You'll admire the Cathedral of San Giorgio, a magnificent example of Romanesque architecture, and the nearby Palazzo Municipale, located in the heart of the city. With a short walk we will reach Via delle Volte, surrounded by a medieval atmosphere, and stop in Ferrara's old Jewish Ghetto, where the city's thriving Jewish community once lived.

Moreover, you'll stop in front of the impressive Castello Estense, residence of the Este court, surrounded by a deep moat. A few minutes away is the Renaissance Palazzo dei Diamanti, currently hosting art exhibitions, which surprises with its marble façade decorated with more than 8000 pyramid stones.
