Árskógssandur is a charming village with only around 100 inhabitants. Once known for a vibrant fishing industry, Árskógssandur has now transformed, offering a unique experience as the home of Iceland's first microbrewery, famous for its signature beer Kaldi as well as the Beer SPA, an unforgettable experience found nowhere else in Iceland!

For this tour you'll be sailing in a traditional refurbished oak boat, called Sæborg, which was originally built for fishing. Sailing in Sæborg will give you glimpses to the experience and the mindset of past local fishermen going out at sea. Nowadays, you can enjoy a quiet sail in the calm seas of Eyjafjörður, Iceland's longest fjord.

Eyjafjörður provides an exceptionally favorable habitat for marine life. In fact, whales have been spotted in 99.4% of all tours conducted in the past three years. Local former fishermen even have a saying: "Water is wet, the sky is blue, and Eyjafjörður is swarmed with whales!"
