Experience a unique side of Finland with this day trip which takes you from Helsinki to Porkkalanniemi, a scenic peninsula in the midst of one of the world’s largest archipelagos, and take a walk through a nature reserve before enjoying lunch with a seaside view.
Upon meeting your guide, you'll be driven to Pokkala where you'll begin your walk on a forest trail leading to an open-rock area. You'll walk along forest paths, rolling rocks and the beautiful coast, where you have the perfect place for a break, overlooking the Baltic Sea. Your guide will prepare a delicious lunch to enjoy while you freely explore wonderful landscapes and find your peace in nature.
Porkkala is also a great place to see swans in the summer and migrations of birds in the spring and fall. During twilight and nightfall, it is quite common to see deer and foxes in the area, and with a bit of extra luck, you might be able to spot a moose!
A walk in this park highlights why Finland is one of the best outdoor destinations and why Finns enjoy their peace and quiet. Surrounded by natural wonders and incredibly diverse habitats, this half-day in the archipelago will leave you wanting to rekindle your love for the outdoors.
