The beauty of ice fishing lies in its simplicity and this popular ice fishing tour will teach you this noble art close to the city centre of Luleå. All you need is a frozen lake, a core drill for making a hole in the ice and the fishing gear to catch the fish!

You will meet and share some time with a passionate local fishing guide who has lived and worked in this environment for many years. Your guide knows the best spots for this activity and will teach you all the tricks of the trade such as how different fish behave in different water and what lures them to us.

The best areas in the water are often only reachable by boat, but they become accessible during winter when the water is covered with solid ice. As such, you have a better chance of catching fish such as salmon, trout and whitefish.

While waiting for the fish to catch the bait you can relax on warm reindeer fur and enjoy the winter scenery. Your guide will inform you about the surroundings and talk about the local life, all while serving hot beverages to keep you warm on the ice.
