Experience the most significant US battlefield sites of D-Day including Omaha beach, Pointe du Hoc and the US Cemetery in Colleville sur Mer. This tour is a perfect introduction to this period of time for those of you who have only but a short time in the area.

During this tour, you will be able to reach the coastal battlefield area and D-Day landing beach of Omaha beach. Here, your guide will bring you back in time to hear the tale of one of the boldest and most successful large scale invasions in military history.

Then, you will visit, the Pointe du Hoc site; located between Utah & Omaha beaches, this prominent position along the coast of Normandy, was a focal point of the amphibious assault by U.S. forces during the early morning hours of D-Day, 6 June 1944.

Arrive at the site of Pointe du Hoc. take a walk along the cliff, surrounded by the incredible lunar, battle scarred landscape. Today, one can imagine the number of shells falling and leaving their print as the grounds are dotted with the craters left by the bombardments.

End your sightseeing tour with a stop at the Normandy American Cemetery.
