Discover the east part of Madeira. After hotel pickup, start your tour by heading towards Pico do Arieiro, the highest mountain accessible by car and the third-highest of the island (1818m). Here you will be astonished by the fantastic views over the mountains and the nature of the island. Descend towards Ribeiro Frio located in the middle of the "Laurisilva" (local laurel forest). It's part of the World Heritage of UNESCO and a great spot to watch the nature.

Continuing along the north coast, you'll pass through Faial and arrive at Santana. This town is known for its typical and original thatched-roof houses. After lunch, admire Ponta de São Lourenço, with several rocky formations and impressive views. Last but not least, before returning to your hotel, visit Machico. It's the historic city where the discoverers landed on Madeira for the first time in 1419.

Carlos the guide was very knowledgeable and a great driver. Only downside was pick up time given when booking in the App.An email or confirmation text would of been helpful.Great value tour and guide.

Sehr schöner Ausflug mit ausführlichen Erklärungen in perfektem Englisch und Deutsch. Ich habe weit aus weniger Erwartet, als ich dann Bekommen habe. Leider wurde die Abholzeit im vorraus nicht genau genann (Start 09:00 Uhr). Hier wäre es schön gewesen eine kurze Info zu erhalten, dass ich am Hotel um 09:40 Uhr abgeholt werde. Fazit: Ein muss für jeden, der Urlaub auf Madeira macht!

Die Mittagspause in Santana fanden wir zu lang da es dort nicht viel zu erkunden gibt. Der nächste Stop an der Zuckerfabrik war viel interessanter und auch dort gab es ein Café mit kleinen Snacks und das direkt am Meer, dort hätten wir gerne mehr Zeit verbracht. Unser Guide der Alberto war wirklich spitze hat uns alles bestens auf Deutsch erklärt. Vielen Dank!!!

Leider hat es mit der Abholung an der Unterkunft nicht geklappt. Ich musste hinterher telefonieren, wurde dann mit einem PKW abgeholt und der Fahrer brachte mich in einem beängstigendem Tempo zu dem Minibus, der bereits zur Tour gestartet war. Ab da war alles super. Marco ein top guide.
