Enjoy the breathtaking views from Cabo Girão, Europe's highest sea cliff and the second-highest in the world. Reach Ribeira Brava and Boca da Encumeada for great views over both coasts, then cross Paúl da Serra, the largest plateau in Madeira.

Stop for a lunch break in Porto Moniz, a famous place in the north known for its beautiful natural pools. Marvel at small waterfalls passing through Seixal on the way to São Vicente, and stop one last time in this lovely village before returning to your hotel.

Die Fahrt und der Spaziergang auf der Hochebene über den Wolken war traumhaft, im Wald zuvor hingen die Wolken, die der Landschaft etwas mystisches gaben. Schade war, dass das Fischerdorf in der Nähe von Funchal nicht angefahren wurde.
