Explore the largest Montenegrin Orthodox sanctuary, Ostrog Monastery, on a day trip from Herceg Novi. Spend 3-hours in the sacred place is annually visited by up to a million pilgrims and tourists of all religions, from all over the world.

Following private pickup from your location in Herceg Novi, you'll travel to the miraculous caved churches which are embedded in a vertical cliff face 900m above sea level. Start at the Lower Monastery situated 2km below the main shrine, enter the Holy Trinity Church and admire the vivid frescoes.

Then, climb to the The Upper Monastery, built in 17th century, within two large caves. Go inside the church to dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog, the Metropolitan Bishop of Herzegovina and founder of the Monastery. See where his remains are still kept today and pay your respects to the alter guarded by priests standing in prayer.

To enter the Upper Monastery guests will need to wear a long skirt or pants and cover their shoulders
Tour has a fixed price for groups of 1-4 people or 5-8 people
