Your day begins at Laguna de Guatavita, a sacred site of the Muisca people and the setting behind the legend of El Dorado. Follow the trails around the lagoon as your guide explains the traditions of gold offerings, the origins of the famous myth and the cultural significance of this Andean landmark. Along the way, you'll take in the fresh mountain air and the surrounding natural scenery.

After travelling through the Andean countryside, continue to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, an underground monument carved into a former salt mine. Walk through illuminated passageways, see large-scale salt sculptures and visit vast chambers that showcase a blend of geology, architecture and spirituality. As you explore the site, you'll learn how the salt caverns were transformed into one of Colombia's most remarkable attractions.
