Discover Madrid de los Austrias, the historic Madrid neighborhood, with this guided tour, that will take you through the most emblematic streets and buildings of the city.

Meet your guide at Puerta del Sol, here you will learn about the no longer existing building of the Church of Buen Suceso, also known as “los mentideros”, and see the time bell and clock, on top of the Royal House of the Post Office, considered the location where the New Year's 12 grapes tradition started.
You will then advance along Calle Mayor, to reach Plaza Mayor, the best place to learn about the Habsburg Monarchy, in force during the 16th and 17th centuries; your guide will tell you about their customs, clothing, celebrations and festivities, and the dreaded Holy Inquisition.
You will also reach the political epicenter of those times, entering Plaza de la Villa, where the old Town Hall of Madrid was located.

Thanks to this guided tour, you will be able to travel back in time, learn about the Habsburg Dynasty, and discover secret corners and historic buildings that characterise this district.
