One of the standout attractions in Gran Canaria, Poema del Mar Aquarium brings the underwater world to life with habitats from across the globe. Right by the waterfront in Las Palmas, it's home to everything from tiny tropical fish to some of the ocean's most impressive predators.
Not only does Poema del Mar showcase eye-catching exhibits, it’s also committed to marine education and conservation, helping raise awareness of the challenges facing our oceans through research, protection projects and interactive displays.
The real showstopper is the Deep Ocean zone, where a huge, curved viewing window puts you face-to-face with sharks, rays and other species. Add colourful reef fish, piranhas and creatures from every corner of the planet, and you've got a visit that's just as fascinating for adults as it is for kids.
