For a real taste of Caribbean culture, look no further than this full day bus tour around the Dominican Republic. You'll visit remote villages while learning all about local produce and history.

The adventure kicks off as your guide regales you with the history of the island while we journey through cattle grazing lands and rice fields. You'll drive by a typical rural school, on route to tour some of the island's coffee, cocoa and sugar cane plantations.

Head on to Higuey, and you'll see the famous Altagracia Basilica – a pilgrimage site because of its miraculous image of Our Lady – before a wander around the bustling market. Check out the views of the Cordillera Oriental mountains before we round off with a beach stop and lunch in a local restaurant.

Tour guide was great shared a lot of info. The restrooms were tricky without toilet seats as I have a bad knee and can’t hover as did some older tourist. Overall it was a good experience.

From the pick up from the hotel The pickup was on time the rep greeted us with a smile and everything was done professionally. A short drive to a transfer point where we were met with the actual tour guide. Both the tour guide, his assistant and the coach driver made the excursion very exciting and enjoyable. Music dancing and drinks were at hand.The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke in English and Spanish perfectly when explaining the history of the country.Truly enjoyable experience.

Complete and utter rubbish nothing more than a bus tour without any windows no chance to stay and look at anything absolute nonsense and I’ve told us many people as possible to not go

The beach was dirty, a lot of the beach furniture was dirty and broken. They was know where to buy drinks if needed. The coconut workshop was closed, but they did give us a little bit of an experience. The food for lunch was good but only water offered, when we were told there would be juice as well. The information we received from the guide was excellent. Overall the trip was good, but some improvements could be made

Absolutely fabulous trip, the guide Mamma Gina is knowledgeable and has the most wonderful personality. She has you smiling from the minute you set foot on the bus until you get off!!! Loved the trip thank you

It was wonderful fun crazy day. One of the best trips I have ever had. Learnt about the island and its culture, whilst having a fast paced day that provided many memories for years to come. Highly recomended.
