Retken kuvaus
Ocean World is a must-visit in when in the Dominican Republic. One of the most advanced marine parks of its kind, it is home to sea lions, parrots and sharks among other species. What's more, it boasts to the world's largest artificial habitat for dolphins. All our options include full day admission for you to enjoy everything the park has to offer.
You'll be able to witness shows with playful dolphins, funny sea lions and intelligent parrots – there are several each day. You can also visit the botanical garden with its rich bird life and if you want to relax, there's also a beach. And you can also snorkel in the Tropical Reef Aquarium, too.
The park specialises in interactive programmes along with its dolphins, sharks and sea lions. You'll be able to see and interact with the animals closely when you choose your preferred activity. A really fun day out for the whole family.

Dominican Republic Culture Tour
Cocoa, chocolate, cheese and sugar cane – these are just a few of the things you'll come face to face with on this full-day, culture-packed tour. You'll journey towards Imbert to learn about Geo Geo cheese, then pass through communities and plantations towards Teco Beach for a swim.We'll kick things off with a scenic journey towards Imbert, passing through lots of small communities such as Maimon, to arrive at an artisan cheese factory. See how local Geo Geo cheese is made, then continue your foray into Dominican produce at Las Lajas where you'll visit a coffee plantation and cocoa farm.After a taster of Dominican chocolate, there's more to try over a typical lunch – with the full day option only. At La Piragua, you'll see how sugar cane is produced and visit a local's home where they make baskets and mats out of natural materials. A cigar factory tour will be next, followed by the fishing village of Maimon and a final swimming stop at Teco Beach.

You'll experience three Dominican Republic highlights on this tour – waterfalls, horse riding and ziplining through the jungle. You'll also enjoy lunch on a traditional ranch. A rip-roaring day out.First up are the Damajagua waterfalls. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll navigate a series of falls which cascade over rocks into a pool edged by exotic shrubs. Next, you'll saddle up at a ranch and make your way along a mountain trail. When you've soaked up the scenery, you'll canter back to base for lunch. Locally sourced sweet potatoes, roast chicken and fresh fruit salad are served, with drinks included too.Lunch is your last chance for peace and quiet, as next up you'll be taken on an adrenaline-inducing adventure through the forest. Hold tight to the handlebars of a zipline as you speed off into the mahogany trees.

Damajaguan vesiputousseikkailu
Noin 20 km Puerto Platan ulkopuolella sijaitsee yksi Dominikaanisen tasavallan parhaiten säilyneistä salaisuuksista: Damajaguan vesiputoukset. Osallistu innostavalle retkelle, jolla voit hyppiä, uida ja liukua luonnollisia vesiliukuja pitkin. Buffetlounas ja opastus kruunaavat retken.Seikkailu alkaa saapuessamme Damajaguan vesiputouksille, jotka huuhtoutuvat pitkin kalkkikiveä vehreässä metsässä. Näkymä on ainutlaatuinen. Kävelemme luonnonkuilujen ja -tunneleiden poikki, hyppäämme luonnonaltaisiin ja valloitamme vesiputouksen seitsemän tasoa, jotka muuttuvat yhä uskaliaammiksi mitä pidemmälle menet.Retkelle kannattaa ottaa mukaan kamera, sillä kuvattavaa riittää erilaisissa luonnonaltaissa ja vesiputouksissa, kuten ”La Virgen” ja ”La Tinajita”. Kahden ja puolen tunnin seikkailun jälkeen saavumme yhdelle retken kauneimmista vesiputouksista. Tankkaamme energiatasot täyteen paikallisessa lounaspöydässä, ennen kuin palaamme takaisin lomakohteeseen.
