Broken Bay pearl farm tour
Immerse in the unique story of the Australian Pearl where they invite you to their revamped oyster shed in Mooney Mooney alongside the Lower Hawkesbury River. Aboard their catamaran to see where the world's most lustrous and rare Akoya pearls are grown. You'll get to discover an incredible local marine wilderness where iconic pelicans and abundant fish are a living display of the immense and thriving marine ecosystem. You'll get to meet the friendly pearling team who will show you the intricacies of pearl farming and the unique environmental elements and farming practices that combine to create the perfect breeding ground for pearls. After the boat ride, join them in the pearl grading room where they'll share with you a range of pearls and explain the seven virtues that make pearls of Australia so unique.
You can then wander through the Shellar door and view the display of gorgeous pearl-made jewellery and indigenous artwork, all for sale.
