See a snapshot of local life in Krabi's countryside with this full day tour. You'll travel into rural Thailand to find out how traditional longtail boats are made, discover the art of batik painting, and visit a community-run cashew farm. You'll also get to cool off in Huay Tho waterfall and browse the bustling stalls of Krabi market, too.
We kick off with a visit to the Hau Thong people, who've been handcrafting Thailand's traditional longtail boats for centuries. After seeing how these seaworthy vessels are made, it's on to a collective cashew farm, run by and for the benefit of the local community. You'll see how the locally grown nuts are roasted, packaged and sold, before getting to try some for yourself.
Post-lunch, there's a lesson in the ancient art of batik painting. Discover an age-old technique used to wax-dye textiles and make your own design to take home as a souvenir. Finally, we'll round off with free time to explore Krabi market.
