During the cruise, you can buy several types of drinks at the bar for a fair price. Then journey to see the beauty of the Danube views.

You'll have the chance to take excellent photos from the ship with the view of the Buda Castle, the Parliament, the Liberty Bridge, the Gellért Hill and other beautiful examples of Hungarian architecture.

Waste of time and money really. No commentary on the river or bridges so traveled the same patch of river as the Maya, only difference was it cost me money to go hungry as I missed dinner. Might have been fun if you were in Budapest and not on a cruise but as a river boat excursion it was a waste of time and money.

We didn't go on the cruise because we had already seen the lights of Budapest on the way out on the first day. Tui should have told us before going that we would be sailing out at night, Also it was too far to walk to reach the boat anyway and we were too tired to get there. We would have cancelled it but as we do not have a mobile phone we couldn't do so. Do not book this trip as you will see it anyway for free on the boat!!

Due to mobility issues I asked our cruise director how far away this boat trip was. He advised me that it was only a 10 minute walk away from the ship. I specifically asked because if it had been too far away I still had 24 hours to cancel and receive a refund. When we checked the distance it was more than 20 minutes walk away. This was too much for me to manage but sadly I was too late to cancel. I was let down by cruise director and did not go on trip.

The cruise was good, but sitting outside where smoking was allowed was unpleasant for us as we are non-smokers. Also there was no commentary which would have been nice.

Did not go for the boatride as it coincided with dinner and suitcase prep for departure. In retrospect, not a good proposition.

We bought this experience before departure thinking that it would be a lovely end to our cruise. what we did not know at the time was that the very same evening, on board the TUI Maya there would be Hungarian dancing, the evening meal, and a movie on the top deck. So we did not go on the experience. By the time we realised. it was too late to get a refund. Maybe this information could be flagged up so that other travellers do not pay for experiences that they subsequently find they do not want.
