Sounion was an important ancient Greek religious sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon and Athena and located on a promontory in southern Attica. Sounion is the setting of several episodes in Greek mythology and is specifically mentioned as a place of religious significance in Homer’s Odyssey.
Set off for this private tour! You will be driven along to the Athens Riviera down to the famous Cape Sounion and back to Athens or Piraeus on a luxury minivan. Remember that the Temple of Poseidon closes 15 min after the sunset.
