Thailand lucked out on the nature front – not only are there the powdery beaches washed by crystal clear waters but it's also home to lush mountainous landscapes. On this tour to Sam Roi Yot National Park, you'll discover limestone hills, vast caves and a very different side to Thailand.
Kick the day off with a boat trip over to a beach at the foot of the mountain. Then get ready to start the trek – it's thirsty work but the reward at the end is worth it. After hiking for a while, you'll reach the Phraya Nakhon Cave with its three huge chambers – light streams in through large openings in the roof. The sight is like something out of an Indiana Jones movie.
The cave is famed for the light-bathed golden pavilion commissioned by King Rama V but you'll also find interesting plant species. Your guide will point out a tree called the ‘screaming elephant' - so named for its brutal sting, which can be felt even by elephants. After strolling back down you'll enjoy lunch at the beach.

It has temples, palaces, cave shrines and a riverside market – and a funicular railway. Visit Wat Mahathat, Phra Nakhon Khiri and Khao Luang Cave in this activity-packed excursion.Wat Mahathat is first up on the agenda. This Buddhist temple's prangs tower over the town centre. Next, you'll hop into a funicular for a ride to the hilltop Phra Nakhon Khiri, the beautiful summer palace of King Rama IV. Admire the fine architecture, explore the museum and take in the great views over the town and countryside from the observatory.After lunch in a typical restaurant, you'll visit Khao Luang Cave. Bridge on the River Kwai Tour from Hua Hin
If you're a history or movie buff, you've probably heard of The Bridge on the River Kwai. This classic war movie depicts the construction of the ‘Death Railway', one of the most notorious episodes of the Pacific War during WWII. This day trip takes you to the JEATH War Museum, the railway bridge and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.On arrival, you'll delve straight into history at the JEATH War Museum. This museum explains the horrors of the Death Railway. From here, you'll walk over the bridge and take a train to Tham Krasae station. Here, you'll make your way down to the River Kwai for lunch at a restaurant at Thakrasae Bridge.In the afternoon, we'll go into Kanchanaburi city and visit its poignant War Cemetery.
