A stroll through the Plaza de los Remedios is the ideal introduction to this laidback, rural part of the island. Next, you'll take a look at the coastal scenery during a walk along Playa Montana Bermeja, where black volcanic sand meets the Atlantic Ocean. Then, swing by a small family-run winery offering more than just a taste. Surrounded by volcanic landscapes, it produces authentic wines using traditional methods, with vines grown in ash-filled hollows protected by stone walls.
