You'll step into the ocean off De Palm Island with a futuristic-looking helmet on your head, and as if by magic you'll be able to walk underwater, discovering colourful Caribbean marine life in a unique and relaxed way.
With this 25-minute upgrade activity on De Palm Island, you'll be transformed into a sea creature, ready to explore the ocean floor. Once you don your diving helmet, you'll be able to breathe and move underwater easily and effortlessly. Then enter the sea and stroll along the seabed as if you've been doing it for years.
The best part is that you don't even need any training or certificates to go underwater, all you'll need is the helmet to discover the wonderful colours of Caribbean marine life from the reef to shimmering shoals of fish. And to top it off, pop into the Sea Trek café to pose for a photo at our underwater table for two.

Staying safely dry in the hull of the ship, you'll get to see underwater Aruba in all its glory on this cruise. Board a semi-submarine – which doesn't fully submerge – to pass by the famous Arashi Reef and the World War II Antilla shipwreck.Once you've hopped aboard the semi-submarine you can descend into the underwater viewing area or keep to the top – the choice is yours. Your captain will then expertly sail you through the Arashi Reef, where you're likely to spot colourful fish dashing in and out of the corals and turtles floating in the clear water.You'll have a top seat for seeing it all while staying dry – especially as you glide past the World War II Antilla, the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean, which is only partially submerged. Here you'll come across fish and corals underwater, and pelicans jostling for space on top.

If you've already booked yourself on to the Palm Pleasure Catamaran excursion, then this extra Snuba experience will seal the deal. It's a combination between snorkelling and scuba diving, so you can see Aruba's underwater world without being weighed down by heavy tanks. It's the new activity to try.While you're sailing around the crystal-clear seas on board a luxury catamaran, you'll have the chance to try out Snuba. Qualified instructors will take you through the steps, so there's no need to worry. And because you don't need a certificate to take part, you can dive in and get stuck in straight away.You'll be able to move freely underwater while exploring the reefs and marine life. The tank stays on the surface of the water, so you'll not feel the weight of heavy tanks. An exhilarating 45-minute experience.

Snuba picks the best bits of snorkelling and scuba diving and brings them together to complete your experience on the pleasure island of De Palm. This upgrade activity lets you get further beneath the water than the standard snorkelling sessions – so that you can see the coral reef colours more clearly and swim among the blue parrot fish.With Snuba, you'll have more diving freedom as there'll be no heavy tanks on your back – just a pair of flippers and a breathing regulator, which is then attached to an air supply on the surface. Breathe underwater without being weighed down, and your instructor will point you in the right direction.During this hour-long experience, you'll come eye-to-eye with the marine life that swims among the coral reef, all just a few strokes from the island. Once it's over, you can pick up where you left off on the island – maybe a banana boat ride, the waterpark or a zipline, they're all there for you to enjoy.
