What to expect

Take a deep dive into the world of San Sebastián beloved pintxos. Your guide will take you visiting the most famous bars, and teach you how to navigate the pintxos scene.

Kick the evening off at a bar that’s been a local favorite since the 70s, you’ll find some of the best mussels in town, accompanied by a classic dry Basque cider. Continue to a specialty store run by a couple who specialize in Basque and Spanish gourmet products, to taste two of their best cured hams, and learn the differences between them.
Stroll by the Old Town’s main square for a sprinkle of history. This is where Spanish bullfights took place during the 19th century. Get to your next treat, marinated anchovies, in this bar you will also learn the story behind the first pintxo invented and try a sparkling wine sourced from the area; then you will head to taste the famous pintxos, followed by some grilled steak in another local spot.
In the last gem you’ll visit, you will taste an authentic treat only available in San Sebastián, wash it down with a dessert sherry for a sweet way to end the evening.
