Visit Niš, the third biggest city in Serbia, and discover its Ottoman heritage and rich history! You'll first visit the Red Cross Nazi Concentration Camp, where the German Gestapo held captured around 30.000 Jews and Serbians. This camp is known for being the place where the first mass escape of prisoners was organized in occupied Europe.
You'll then visit Bubanj Hill, where you'll admire some Yugoslav-era memorials such as the work of the Croatian sculptor Ivan Sabolić formed by three fists rising from the ground that symbolize the resistance of men, women and children during the Second World War.
You'll continue your tour towards the Skull Tower, a monument erected by the Ottomans and originally formed by 952 skulls. Then, you'll visit the Niš Fortress and admire the main monuments of the city such as Banovina Building, Niš Liberators Monument and the monument of Stevan Sremac, one of the greatest Serbian comedy writers.
Finally, you'll visit the Archaeological Hall of Nis National Museum where you'll learn about the history of the city and enjoy some free time to taste some local food and drinks.
