Cochem’s town centre’s home to a collection of historical sights, and you’ll get to see a handful of them up close on this guided walking tour. You’ll kick things off with a stroll to one of the town’s oldest churches – the Church of St Martin. It was built in the 15th century, and you’ll be able to snap some photos of its tall, black-domed tower and giant stained glass windows. From here, you’ll learn about the town’s history during a visit to the 400-year-old Capuchin Monastery. Throughout the centuries, it’s been used as a hospital and a school, but these days it’s Cochem’s culture centre. You’ll round off the tour with a peaceful walk to the town hall – a traditional, half-timbered building that was built in 1535. It’s home to the mayor’s office, and was used as a homeless shelter in the 19th century. When you’re finished here, you’ll start the return journey back to the port.
