This unique cultural center is located in the old Royal Tobacco Factory, known in the city as the Tabacalera.The Tabacalera building represents perhaps the best example of the regionalist style in Málaga. Built in the 1920s and recently rehabilitated for cultural events, the venue is now equipped to become a reference center for Russian culture in Europe. It houses the Collection of the Russian Museum of Saint Petersburg/Málaga and it will host a series of long-term exhibitions, renewed each year, that will explore the complex and fascinating history of Russian art and its changing relationship with European culture, as well as offer outstanding temporary exhibitions."Beyond his time. A collector's adventure"

A large exhibition with several hundred pieces that captures the collecting passion of José María Castañé, member of the boards of trustees of the National Library and the Prado Museum, and owner of the largest and best collection of Russian painting in Spain. The exhibition includes pieces of Russian art, never seen in our country, by authors such as Natan Altman, Robert Deineka, Zinaida Serebriakova, Kandinsky, Natalia Goncharova or Liubov Popova; non-Russian art by authors such as Anselm Kieffer, Eduardo Arroyo or Santiago Rusiñol; and original documents that are testimonies of important periods in the history of Russia and the Soviet Union.

The center also features a small auditorium, three screening rooms, children's workshops, a reading room with reference books.

People under 18 years old can enter for free.
The day of your visit, you must exchange your printed voucher for your combined tickets at the ticket office.
Please note the doors close 30 minutes before the closing time, which is the last time you can enter.
24th and 31st of December opening times are 9:30 to 14:30 pm
Closed every Tuesday, except public holidays
Every Sunday free entrance from 16:00 (except 24th and 31st of December if fall on this day)
