Off the coast of Senegal, in front of Dakar, Gorée was from the 15th to the 19th century the largest trading center of the African coast. In turn under Portuguese, Dutch, English and French domination. Its architecture is characterized by the contrast between the grim slave-quarters and the elegant houses of the slave traders.

You'll ascend to Castel by the Baobabs alley for a panoramic view of Dakar from the Memorial of Slaves. Next, it's time to enjoy lunch in the island, and shortly after you'll visit the Senegal Historical Museum. Lastly, visit of the House of the Slave and the also the church Saint Charles.
