Then visit Noflaye Tortoise Park dedicated to the Sulcata tortoise, the largest on the continent, and support the return of this endangered species to its natural habitat.

The tortoise reserve was fascinating, great to see the 110 year old Nelson and a 10 day old baby. The information about conservation was really interesting and the guide did a great job of translating what the reserve guide was telling us. Great place full of trees, flowers, birds. Lovely time. Our time at the Pink lake was also fascinating and lunch there was really good. The jeep ride in the sand dunes was a bit hairy but fun, the beach views were beautiful and also saw some wild camels!

Alleen het vervoer met het busje was matig erg lawaaierige lange rit. De tocht door de zandduinen in Dakar werd uitgevoerd met een terrein wagen die zeer slecht was.Onderweg gestopt om water bij te vullen. De wagen viel nog net niet uit elkaar net als wij.

Het is schandalig om het roze meer in het programma te zetten, het is helemaal niet roze meer, wel zeer lekker gegeten, voor de rest was de jeep tocht een avontuur op zich, niet altijd even veilig.
