Experience a moving organ concert in Salzburg Cathedral, one of the city's greatest attractions!

The regular concerts after the bell rings at 12 noon continue the centuries-old tradition of Salzburg Cathedral organ music and enliven the building today as they did then. The uniqueness of Salzburg's organ landscape results from the multitude and variety of instruments. Especially their placement in the room creates a musical ensemble that allows for special sound experiences. The pillar organs in the dome area and the large organ with over 4000 pipes in the west gallery blend with the building and are also magnificent pieces of artistic decoration.

Very nice but didn't appreciate the banding of the seats, ridiculous in such a small space. I also thought the repertoire was rather samey.

One of the most entertaining things we did in Salzburg and it was only a half an hour long. The organist is so talented.

Worth price of admission to enter at noon to hear the organ and see this gorgeous church. Time to walk around and explore before or after. Not too crowded on a Tuesday.
