In the Tomato Museum, vintage photos and documents, rare films, models and interactive screens, packaging and can openers, publications, curious objects and recipes tell the story of the so-called "red gold" right up to its irresistible triumph on the table.

The journey through the history of tomato unfolds around an ancient production line for tomato preserves: from its arrival from the Americas in the 16th century to the first timid gastronomic approaches, from the varieties and cultivation techniques to the extraordinary diffusion in the Parma area at the end of the 19th century and the birth of a powerful canning and mechanical industry, the Experimental Station and the fairs.

By selecting the private tour option, it will be possible to be accompanied as individuals, families or small groups by the qualified staff of the Tomato Museum for a visit lasting about 45 minutes.

The Card guarantees 1 access to all the Food Museums of Parma within 12 months from its first use. Remember to present the voucher received after booking in order to get the Card
Important: the private tour option (price per group) doesn't include the museum tickets, which must be booked separately. The guide can accompany up to 15 people, as long as they belong to the same group/family
The guided tour is available in English and Italian. Audio guides in English, Italian and French can be downloaded for free from the museum website
It is possible to integrate the experience with a tasting. In this case, it will be necessary to buy the entrance ticket AND the tasting. The selection is made by choosing the day in the calendar.
