Pregnancy RequirementsWomen less than 5 months pregnant may only participate in the Manatee Encounter, accompanied by another paid adult, after signing the liability waiver.
Age & Height RequirementsChildren 1.20m to 1.39m tall must be accompanied by an adult for interactions.Children 1.40m and taller can participate alone in manatee interactions.Infants 1 to 5 years old are free when accompanied by a paid adult.Minors are considered ages 6 to 12 years. Adults from 13 years onwards.
Safety & RestrictionsSunscreen and tanning lotions are not allowed.Jewelry or accessories that can easily come off are not permitted during the interaction.Electronic devices are not allowed.
Additional Costs & RecommendationsAccording to Article 60 of the Quintana Roo Tax Law, a state tax (ISEPAAA) of MX$50 per person (from 6 years old) must be paid for activities with aquatic animals at registration.We recommend bringing cash to purchase photos and souvenirs, as well as an extra change of clothes.
