No dia 19 de setembro de 2021, uma nova cratera vulcânica foi formada perto de La Palma. O vulcão anteriormente conhecido como Cumbre Vieja entrou em erupção, mudando completamente a paisagem a oeste da cidade. Caminhando 5 km na recém-batizada Tajogaite - montanha rachada - você quase chegará à cratera. Daqui, vistas incríveis dos fluxos de lava e do Vale Aridane se abrem.

Heel indrukwekkend, wat heeft dit toch een hoop teweeg gebracht. De gids was geweldig en gaf ons een duidelijke uitleg over de uitbarsting en alles wat daar mee te maken had en heeft.

We enjoyed the walk with interesting information from our guide. The area around the volcano crater is fascinating though our guide gave us some insight on what a catastrophic event the eruption was and continues to be for the local population

Our guide Manuel was very informative and handled the English and German elements of the tour well. The WhatsApp message the day before with more information about what to take was helpful.
