With towering peaks and pastel coloured houses perched precariously on the edge of a pristine lake, Hallstatt's landscape borders on the realms of fantasy. Explore its narrow lanes of 16th century houses, drop in to the churches, or just sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere. It's so idyllic that they've even built a replica of the village in China.

2 hours on a coach to get there with only one street to walk up and down. a beautiful view but not for four hours. then a two hour journey back. got to be the worse trip i’ve been on.

Just the right amount of time there - we had time for the boat trip, which was good. The guide was entertaining and informative. Shops were lovely. No complaints.

I don't think there was anything we didn't like. Although Hallstatt was very busy with tourists, we still felt comfortable. The four hours we were given was ample for us to see most of this beautiful town, it was certainly the icing on the cake for us . Our driver and guide George was extremely informative. I would certainly recommend this excursion, and im sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

We along with the rest of the coach was bitterly disappointed that the chair lift to the salt mine was not working. It is out of action until September 2026. We were not told this until we were almost at Hallstatt. You can't walk around the lake. The steps between the two churches were also in disrepair. The houses were interesting to look at. There is a 50 boat ride you can go on.

It is a very beautiful place but because of that can be very crowded,people taking pics at every turn.the toilets that you come yo first are 2 euros each with I thought was a bit expensive to spend a penny,walk further down into the village and they are half that price,we went to a lovely park area after looking around to sit in the shade it was a chance to get away ftom the crowds a bit,.it's a .just see village but the nearly 2 hrs bus journey feels very long
