La Vanille Nature Park is an idyllic and stunning park of lush tropical vegetation covering 3.5 hectares. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of walking amongst the largest group of captive-bred giant Aldabra tortoises in the world.

There are more than 1000 tortoises in the park, in addition to 2000 Nile Crocodiles as well as a variety of other animals such as monkeys, iguanas, bats, deer, geckos, eels, wild boar, and more. You can also visit the Insectarium with more than 23,000 specimens, an aquarium, and a fossil museum.

At the end of the tour, go to a wild beach known as Gris Gris, the appeal of Gris Gris lies in its scenery, the high cliffs here drop abruptly to the sea and the refreshing winds of the Indian Ocean blow all year round.

We hadden een gezellige chauffeur, hij vertelde over de geschiedenis en liet ons de mooie plekken zien. Jammer dat de entree niet geregeld was met het park door TUI en dat daar over na gebeld moest worden.

Wir hatten einen sehr freundlichen einheimischen Fahrer, der auf dem Weg zum Park viele Dinge gezeigt hat, wo wir dran vorbei gefahren sind. Der Fahrer war sehr vorsichtig beim Fahren. Im Park hatten wir so viel Zeit wie wir brauchten zur Verfügung ohne Druck, konnten wir uns alles in Ruhe anschauen. Nach waren wir1,5 Std fertig und der Fahrer auf dem Parkplatz. Danach sind wir zum Grik Grik gefahren und es war atemberaubend, auf dem weg dahin hat uns der Fahrer einen Tempel gezeigt. Top Tour!

Der Ausflug an sich war o.k., der Fahrer hat uns pünktlich abgeholt und zu La Vanille Naturpark gefahren. Dort mussten wir unsere Eintrittsgebühren selber zahlen, obwohl sie laut Ausflugsbeschreibung im Preis enthalten sind. Wir bekamen auch nur eine Stunde Zeit, was ich für einen Naturpark und knapp 20€ Eintritt sehr wenig finde. Da wir zu zweit waren, kostete uns der Ausflug 176€ + Eintrittsgebühren. Da wäre man mit einem Taxi deutlich günstiger gefahren. Gris Gris Strand war super.

Not a full day trip. It was an experience that was done on your own not in a group It felt I had just booked a taxi to take me to the nature park with a stop off on the way back to view the beach which was all of 10 mins. The guide said ask me anything I long the way . I spent more time getting to and from the experience than actually in the park and to view a beach. The guide at the park was informative. It is not a big place you only need a few hours there .
