You'll leave Paris and ride through the verdant countryside to reach Giverny. Claude Monet lived with his family for more than 40 years in this Normand village. You'll have two hours to visit Monet's home, his studio and vibrantly colored gardens.

Follow in Monet's footsteps as you visit the house, which includes the “blue sitting room,” his reading room which opens into the 'pantry' where he kept tea, oil, spices and eggs. Continue to the dining room, which houses the private apartments and one of the world's largest Japanese print collections.

The visit continues with a stroll through the luscious Monet garden, which was the main source of inspiration for this indisputable founding father of Impressionism.

Darauf, dass der Audioguide aus einer App besteht, hätte schon bei der Buchung hingewiesen werden müssen, dann hätte sie entspannt vorher heruntergeladen werden können. Das Passwort zur Inbetriebnahme dann bei Tourbeginn, das ist o.k. Auch wenn wir nicht betroffen waren, die Führerin hat ihren Stiefel durchgezogen und und hat keine Rücksicht auf langsame Mitreisende genommen. Die Informationen im Bus, waren recht dürftig. Giverny war sehr schön, aber diese Tour würden wir nicht weiterempfehlen !

26 July. The house and gardens were quite beautiful. The coach driver was excellent. Unfortunately the pickup address email 2 days prior was incorrect and the return drop off address was in a different part of Paris which we did not know!

Monets garden and house at Giverny are well worth the visit, very beautiful! BUT … No air con on bus so extremely hot and sticky! Go on your own so you have more time, you need more than 2 hours to explore properly. Also few wearing face masks on bus, Covid 2 days later.

Very enjoyable visit led by a friendly and knowledgable guide who provided interesting commentary on the coach journey. The audio guide was a great addition while at the house and gardens with lots of background information about Monet and the area.
