Abu Simbel showcases some of the most impressive and unique temples in Egypt. Your day will begin with a visit to these grand temples, which were ingeniously relocated by UNESCO in the 1960s to save them from submersion due to rising Nile waters. As you explore these historical gems, you'll hear tales about the remarkable engineering feats of the ancient Egyptians.

Then, it is time to indulge in a delicious lunch at a Nubian restaurant, where you can try specialities such as Tagine, a hearty stew cooked in a traditional conical clay pot, packed with vegetables and meat.

After the experience, your guide and driver will escort you back to Aswan.

In de brochure moet duidelijker staan dat deze trip wordt aangeboden ter plaatste. Ik vrees ook dat wij meer betaald hebben. Of de gids contact heeft opgenomen weet ik niet, alleszins heeft hij gefaciliteerd zodat we met hem mee mochten. Deze verwarring hoeft niet op een dergelijke reis.

Amazing tour to Abul Simbel, guide was very knowledgeable and had plenty of time to explore at leisure. This tour left Aswan at 7am which was for us a more civilised time of the day than the early morning departures and had the benefit of Abul Simbel temple being a lot quieter.

It was certainly worth visiting and one of the best places on our Nile visit. Our guide Mahmoud Esnawy was first class. His knowledge, explanation, and humour made the whole event magical. Without him we would not really understand the history or would have seen the details. He made the holiday!

The BEST trip we have ever taken anywhere in the world! 7-night Cruise on the Iberotel Crown Emperor, Luxor to Aswan, Nile river, Egypt. If you take any cruise, take this one! For all of us Egypt nerds, this was a phenomenal trip. The excursions were fantastic with our guide Ehab.

We had the trip in a private bus with air conditioning. The egyptologist was with us all the time and the explained our visit. We visited both temples. I was very impressed with the history and the location. It was like a time travel and to finish the picture we had a Nubian lunch.
