Op deze dagtocht bezoek je samen met een gids een paar dorpen aan de oever van het Gardameer. Je bus stopt eerst in Limone, met zijn citroenboomgaarden en de citroenkleurige huizen aan de rand van het meer. Daarna vaar je met een boot naar Riva del Garda voor een wandeling door het middeleeuwse centrum. Om dan naar je laatste stop, Malcesine aan de overkant van het meer, te gaan. Hier heb je tijd om het 13e-eeuwse kasteel met uitzicht op het meer te bekijken. En in het 15e-eeuwse Palazzo del Capitani zie je waar de Venetiaanse heersers van het gebied bijeenkwamen.

Tui needs to sort out the issue with boarding the ferry at Limone. The port area for the ferry was tiny and full of other people waiting to get on the same ferry (in the hot sun with no shade) and not used to the concept of queuing. This situation made it very difficult for our guide (who did his best in the circumstances) to keep us all safely together and able to continue our tour when we disembarked to continue our tour on the other side.

We were told by the rep Jon that we were booked on the wrong trip and should go North. He told us he’d swop us onto the right trip but it was nerve wracking as our ticket said sth different. We went to limone, Malcesine and Baldino but it was not a cruise as advertised ( “glide across the lake on a cruise” it was a coach plus short crowded ferry. We were stuck in traffic jams for 2 hrs at the end of the day. The boat part was 30mins max. We’d already been to Limone. A wasted day. A refund pls!

As much as I liked seeing Limone, Riva and Malcesine having only 30 mins in Riva (basically to meet the coach back up after the boat ride) and then an hour in Malcesine meant there was really the time in either place to explore. I'd much rather have had 1.5 hours in Riva and not stopped in Malcesine.

The itinerary on the TUI App differed from the itinerary that our guide had.

Limone was great. Orlando was a very knowledgeable and entertaining. Title was a bit misleading as we thought there would be more of a boat trip included.
