In autumn each year ice caves begin to take shape and last throughout the winter. Caves can be found in several different locations on the south side of Vatnajökull. These trips are somewhat temperature-dependent as Ice-caves must be treated with the utmost respect in regards to the ceiling being supportive along with other factors that your specialized guide evaluates constantly. You will have the chance to visit one of them during this trip and to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Please bring warm layers and good hiking boots or shoes (sometimes the ground can be muddy and sometimes you may be required to wear crampons/spikes for the ice).
