Only accessible by boat from Puerto Vallarta, Las Caletas beach has a lost-world feel to it. You'll sail over to this jungle-backed cove and live a day of thrilling adventures in Mexico's very own Garden of Eden. Snorkelling, kayaking, nature trails… the list of available activities is incredible. And when you need to chill, there's always a floating hammock to decamp to.

From the moment you arrive, you're free to live the dream. Head to the coconut seller to have a fresh coconut drink. Or snorkel in the crystal clear water in search of colourful fish or master the paddleboard. Away from the water, there's a cooking lesson, a nature trail to discover tropical vegetation, or a visit to the parrot and monkey centres.

And for the kids, there are plenty of adventure areas too. Lunch will be served in the beachfront restaurant and there's entertainment provided on board the boat back to Puerto Vallarta.

Due to local transportation laws, you must take a taxi to the meeting point to start your excursion. The cost varies from hotel to hotel but is around USD 10.00 each way
