After some free time and optional lunch, you continue the journey towards the Duff Waterfalls. While entering the Natural Park of Mavrovo, which is the biggest in the whole Balkan, the path will lead you to the village of Rostushe and the canyon of the Rostushka river. At some points this canyon has a stunning dept of 100 meters. While enjoying this short walk, our guide will provide you astonishing tales about the flora and fauna of the National Park of Mavrovo. Afterwards, you will be brought back to Ohrid. Interesting fact: Did you know that the name Macedonia, nowadays north and south, is mentioned several times in the bible and is one of the most concentrated with monasteries and churches in the whole world?!

The monastery was fantastic but think it needs to be made clear the walk is quite challenging and in our opinion dangerous it parts, very unsafe underfoot, would consider it more climbing at times and handrails that are there are loose and unsafe

Comfortable coach, great driver and tour guide (Ziggy). Long journey but plenty of information given about the surroundings. We didn't need such a long stop at the petrol station. The hike to the waterfall was wonderful. A bit tough in places for me, but not insurmountable. Definitely worth the walk. The monestry was fab. We were able to sit in for mass. The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced.

Enjoyed it all. Our guide Jordan was so helpful on the walk, when I have a little difficulty with poor eyesight on the trail. We saw and learned a lot about the country. The traditional restaurant stop was lovely too, with lots of nice small plates.
