Discover Bonn's most beautiful residential area, the Südstadt, during a guided tour.

Bonn's most beautiful residential area was built between 1850 and 1910. The quarter survived the World War almost unscathed, but the post-war period was initially characterized by decay and conflicts over the preservation of historical monuments. Nevertheless, with the southern part of the city, it was possible to preserve a closed area of Wilhelminian style building.

Visit the most sought-after residential area in the city and learn about the history and the architecture of the buildings as well as the life of their residents. See the Schinkel University Observatory and the villa of the Jewish geographer Philippson.
