During this excursion, discover the mysteries of Pico and visit beautiful small lakes and several viewpoints. Pass through Pico da Urze, a volcano offering a wonderful view of the Pico mountain and the volcanic complex of the eastern part of the Island.
In the afternoon, after a picnic, join a guided tour through the Gruta das Torres, the largest lava tube in Portugal with a length of 5,150 m. This tube has existed for about 1,500 years and was created during an eruption from the Cabeço Bravo. The guided tour of the cave lasts about 1 hour, during which you can observe with helmets and flashlights formations different geological such as stalactites, stalagmites, side benches, lava balls, and much more.
After a long day full of wonders, you will set off again in the direction of Madalena.
