During this bicycle tour, you will discover Marrakech differently. PIKALA foundation trains Moroccan youth to give you more insight into Moroccan daily life and real Moroccan Culture.
You will cycle through different neighborhoods of Marrakech, like the historic city center 'Medina' and the new town 'Gueliz'. Along the way, you will have the chance to admire some highlights of the city like the Koutoubia, the Kasbah, and the Agdal gardens. You will visit a public bakery and the traditional bathhouse called Hammam, the enormous second-hand market, and finish with a visit to Zaouia de Sidi Bel Abbès, one of the seven Saints of Marrakech.
The youths that PIKALA trains will give you more explanation about growing up in Morocco, the importance of the family, and how to deal with religion and modernization. The tour is a cultural and personal introduction to get a better understanding of Moroccan life. You will end the tour with a cup of Moroccan tea at the Pikala Bicycle café, a cross-cultural space where cycling for healthy, safe, and inclusive cities are promoted.
