Embark on this two-day excursion from Agadir and visit some of the most important sites in the area.
On the first day, you'll travel from Agadir to Zagora. Begin your adventure with a scenic drive through traditional Berber villages, offering insights into Morocco’s rich cultural roots. The journey takes you through Taliouine, famous for its saffron, and Taznakht, well-known for its vibrant Berber carpets. Have lunch in Taznakht before continuing toward the Zagora Sahara Desert. Along the route, take in breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains, ancient kasbahs, and lush palm oases. Upon arrival in Zagora, choose between a sunset camel ride or save the experience for sunrise. Spend the night in a traditional nomadic camp, where you’ll enjoy an evening of storytelling, local music, and stargazing under the desert sky.
On the second day, you'll leave Zagora and travel back to Agadir via Ouarzazate. Start the day with a peaceful sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at camp. The return journey to Agadir begins, retracing your path through the High Atlas and charming Berber villages. A key stop in Ouarzazate includes visits to the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Cinema Studios, famous for hosting major film productions. Continue to the legendary Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its ancient architecture and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before the final leg back to Agadir, arriving in the late afternoon.
