If you're after a day out that mixes a bit of culture with time at the beach, this trip's a great shout. You'll start by heading over to the northern part of Cyprus, crossing the checkpoint and getting a feel for a side of the island where everyday life and history sit right next to each other. Once you're through, you'll make your way to Varosha, once a buzzing resort packed with glamorous hotels, sandy beaches and busy promenades. It's one of the most talked about spots in Cyprus and it's easy to see why once you're there.
After that, you'll head to Salamis Beach, right next to the ancient ruins of Salamis. With views stretching along the coastline, it's a lovely spot to cool off with a swim, stretch out on a sunbed or just enjoy being by the sea. You'll get a snack-box lunch too, ideal for a quick pick-me-up as you unwind. And if you fancy it, there's also time to check out the ruins before heading back.
