Fulfill your Olympic dream without all the really hard stuff. Get the background on what the Olympics were really about, in venues connected to real Olympic events.

You begin your day as an Olympic athlete at the beautiful neoclassical building known as the Zappeion, just below the National Garden. Find out more about how ancient Olympic athletes trained and learn some techniques used by modern athletes before you compete in a race in the stadium where the first modern Olympic Games where held. Also, have a go at long jump, javelin, shot put, and discus.

Don’t worry about personal bests, it’s taking part, not the finish line that counts!

This tour runs with a maximum of 12 participants and requires a minimum booking of 2 participants
In the unusual event that the minimum is not met you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund
Entry fees are not inlcluded and will need to be paid on site. A general admission ticket costs 10 euros, a reduced admission ticket 5 euros (students and over 65s). Children under 6 and those with disabilities and one person accompanying them have free admission
You will be accompanied by a certified Sports Trainer
This is a mild outdoor physical activity, you don't have to be an athlete to participate, you can do it at your own pace
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring water

Your guide will be holding an Alternative Athens sign and will be waiting for for you outside the ticket booth at Leof. Vasilissis Olgas, Athina 105 57, Greece. The closest metro stop is Acropolis (take the red metro line), exit Makriyanni/Aeropagitou. From there it is an 8 minute walk to get to the Temple´s entrance. If coming by taxi, please request that the driver takes you to Leof. Vasilissis Olgas 1, Athina 105 57. Please note that this is a pedestrian street and you may have to walk to the entrance of the Temple if the taxi cannot access the street. Please make sure that you are at the meeting point 10 minutes before the starting time. The group will depart on time and those not present will be considered a no-show for which no refund can be made.
