Enjoy the Venice islands day trip in the northern lagoon to admire Murano, Burano and Torcello. During your 6-hours tour you will see the islands in all their beauty.

From St. Mark’s Square, you will cross the lagoon comfortably seated in a panoramic boat with a specialized guide that will explain the history and culture of the islands. The first stop will be Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry.

There you will visit one of the factories to admire a glass demonstration done by a local artist that will create a unique glass item in front of your eyes. Then you will have time to visit the lovely island. (You will stay on the island 1 hour and 15 minutes approx.)

The second stop will be on the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its laces manufacture but also for its fishermen's houses painted in bright colors. You will get lost through the colored streets and taste the delicious local cakes “Bussolai”. (You will stay on the island 1 hour and 30 minutes approx.)

Last, but not least will be the quiet and sparsely populated island of Torcello, the first center of civilization in the estuary. On these island, you could admire the oldest churches of the lagoon and discover how Venice was born! (You will stay on the island 1 hour approx.)

At the end of your trip, you will come back from the islands crossing all the lagoon admiring the fascinating St. Mark’s Basin from the panoramic boat, from where you can take marvelous pictures of Venice and its lagoon.

Fabulous two islands of Murano and Burano. However although we booked a three day trip we only went to two islands!!

This was a lovely trip, burano, was our favourite island, absolutely stunning, with a lovely arty vibe. We enjoyed watching the glass blowing on Moreno island. Tour guide was lovely, very informative. There was a mix up with boats, we ended up travelling on 3 different ones, but didn't interfere with timings, these things happen, and we were kept informed at all times , trip was well organised we thought.

Loved every minute. All islands are well worth the visit. Our guide was so knowledgeable.

The boat we travelled in developed an engine problem and we had to use the Pink Venice boat to bring us back. As it was raining we had to shelter downstairs which was packed, meaning we had to stand all the way back which was nearly an hour.

Burano was very enjoyable, Torcello not really worth the visit

The tour involved a 10-15 minute walk to the boat and the same at the end. There was confusion regarding what time we supposed to be at the meeting point. Getting on and off the boats one going out changed to a boat with multiple trips. Was challenging as gangplank was beyond basic and boat was never tied up. Very steep recommend trip only for very young mobile people no children prams people with sticks etc guide was very knowledgable.

From St. Mark’s Square, face the Basilica and turn right towards the Doge’s Palace. Continue past the Bridge of Sighs to Riva degli Schiavoni (the waterfront promenade). Walk for 2 minutes, then turn left into Calle de le Rasse. The Venice Tours Office is at number 4536; look for the sign at the entrance. Please be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure time.
