The mighty Colosseum is the most beautiful and mysterious at night. This guided night tour includes the Roman Forum, seen from the bird’s eye view from the Campidoglio, as well as other sites of Ancient Rome.

The tour starts with Trajan’s Column where you’ll pass through Via dei Fori Imperiali overlooking the Roman Forum (closed at this hour), the civic historical center. Once home to a bustling marketplace, ruled by moneylenders and shopkeepers, this was Rome at its finest. As the light fades, your professional English-speaking guide will talk you through the heart and history of Rome’s historic center, pointing out the temples, arches, and the sanctuary of Ancient Rome’s famous Vestal Virgins.

As you continue your walk, your guide will point out Caesar’s and Augustus’ Forums, among other ruins. As you walk past the Forums you will come to the highlight of the tour – the Roman Colosseum. At this time of night, the Colosseum is virtually empty and your guide will lead you around, telling stories about the history and people that once tread on the same ground. You will roam the arena floor where you will gain a better understanding of the magnitude of Ancient Rome’s greatest amphitheater. Unfortunately, you won't get to visit the Underground on this tour but you'll get to see the newly discovered graffiti.

· On this tour, some of the venues or parts of the venue may be subject to last-minute, unpredictable closures; when this occurs, customers will be offered an extended tour in keeping with the advertised total length of the tour

· The tour cannot accommodate guest below 6 years old due to venue security reasons

· Due to the fact that Colosseum by Night at 19:30 or later includes Underground entry tickets, which must be purchased using the full name of each passenger and cannot be modified or cancelled, no refund will be given for any tour cancellation once the tickets are purchased on the passengers’ behalf.

Changes to bookings requested more than 24 hours before the confirmed tour departure time are free of charge. This policy doesn’t apply for Colosseum by night 19:30 (or later), where is not possible to change either date or time after the purchasing, due to the pre-purchasing of Colosseum Underground tickets.

· Changes to the date of your Colosseum by night 17:00 tour requested less than 24 hours in advance cannot be processed.

· To cancel a Colosseum by night 17:00 tour you must call us at +390683360561, chat with us Here or email us at bookings.changes@citywonders.com no less than 24 hours in advance of your confirmed tour departure time. Only cancellations requested more than 24 hours before tour departure time will be eligible for a credit voucher.

· Cancellations for Colosseum by Night at 19:30 or later are not allowed and no refund will be given for any once the Underground tickets are purchased on the passengers’ behalf.

The tour will start on the platform directly in front of Trajan's Column. Trajan's Column (around 30m high with engravings) is located on Via dei Fori Imperiali next to Piazza Venezia. When standing right in front and facing the Victor Emmanuel II Monument (nicknamed the Wedding Cake), it's directly to the left across the street. Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes in advance.
